Steve,
Congratulations on acquiring the Kleinschmidt equipment. The TT-229 & TT-230 are pretty rare I think, they were part of the AN/FGC-30 Teletypewriter Central Office Set.
There are downloadable copies of the TT-98 manual on line. Don't remember were I got them, but just Google "TM 11-5815-200" (-12 is operator's manual; -35 is maintenance manual; P is parts manual). Fair Radio and others may sell original manuals.
Manuals for the TT229 & -230 will be harder to find, but the TT-229 is probably based on the TT-76, so that manual could be helpful. (TT-76 manuals are downloadable from http://rattrig.com/manuals/tm's.htm) They may be covered in the AN/FGC-30 manual: TM 11-5815-203-15, if you can find it.
