Good grief Charlie Brown...
We used to say "The customer is not always right, but they are always
the customer."

You weren't just limited to Bell on S or Bell on J. Teletype made
Model 28 keytops so that you could have "BELL" on the upper-case
portion of A, B, C, D, L or X keytops. F, J and S keytops were
available with the image of a bell instead of the word "BELL."
There was a keytop with just the word "BELL" on it. Presumably,
it was used in place of the blank key. Another keytop with the
word "BELL" on it had the Greek letter Xi in the lower case position.
Lastly, there was a keytop with a dash in the lower case position
and "BELL" in the upper case position. This info is from BSP section
573-100-801.
