The now-ancient (!) AEA PK232 multimode controller is capable of
outputting to a
"terminal" at 110 baud, ASCII. I used to run a Model 33 on the output
and
copy Baudot RTTY with it as well as Packet DX spots that were received
at 1200 baud.
The PK input can handle Baudot at all speeds, Packet, and even CW. The
input to the PK is audio, standard RTTY tones. You could copy
ITTY to your Model 35ASR, for example. And, by the way, you
can send from the ASCII terminal and output Baudot. I don't recall if
it
has an output buffer. Of course, you could use a PC in
"terminal mode" to copy Baudot using the PK, also.
The PK232's are going pretty cheap on Ebay, especially the older ones.
I
originally used a dumb video terminal for the output of the PK,
but realized that the PK could be optioned all the way down to 110
baud
ASCII. The output is RS232 to the "terminal". I think the setting is
called "TBAUD". The PK's original manual was written by W2JUP,
Norm Sternberg (SK), who I helped got on RTTY many moons ago,
prior to his becoming a packet guru. The manual is very well
written and comprehensive. the PK232 is not a simple box to set up,
but
once optioned correctly, it works well.
Since the K0TTY QTH is ASCII-free, I can't help get you going...
