Just keep track of who the winner is, it will be a scrapper. Before
hand know the
weight of one, get that days rate for dirty steel and see how good
your skills are.

There is going to be very little value in the FO, my call it will be a
minus and that
includes all that wood since the days of open burn pits are long gone.

If a scrapper knows of an offer of more then what he will get he may listen.

He will first think each TTY is worth 10x what it is in scrap. But
after a couple
weeks you may win out. He wont be much interested if you just want one so
someone should be ready to make an offer on at least a ton if not all. The less
he has to do will enhance any success.

I've done it before but long long ago ...
