I received a couple of very useful replies offlist, and thought
I'd pass on the gist of their information.

First, Rice has a photograph on his website of a fixed-cutter
unit made up largely of Model 14 TD parts. See:

http://riceguy.site50.net/1_10_Machines-and-More-.html

and scroll down nearly to the bottom of the page.

Second, one can find a half-dozen videos of larger commercial
units in operation. These are rotary-cutter machines, with a
couple of different styles of take-up apparatus. I would never,
ever, have thought to search YouTube in researching this,
and very much appreciate the tip. A YouTube search on

paper slitter
or
paper slitting machine

does the trick.
