Thanks John. This machine has seen better days, to be certain. I don't have enough experience to know whether it makes sense to replace it outright or repair it, but at a minimum I could use two bell cranks. We used epoxy to repair the front frame member where the cranks and vanes mount - and it seems to be stable. There is talk of either drilling and tapping those feet or outright welding them. We have a sister collective nearby, The Madagascar Institute, which is equipped in both skills and gear for this sort of welding.
We do not have a typing unit, this is an old United Press rig, so it was used strictly for receiving. Everything else is in reasonable shape as best I can tell (but I am extremely new to this.)
