[GreenKeys] M28 won't type

Jerry,
Thanks for your comments.
The print hammer twitches on every character, but does not come anywhere
close to striking a type pallet.
There is no movement to the typebox, other than character spacing and
LTRS/FIGS shift. The type box seems to be frozen in the position of a
non-typing character (but if it is a non-typing character, why is it
spacing?). And only moves relative to the hammer for LTRS/FIGS shift
function. LF & CR work, but type box doesn't move.
I tried to determine which character the print hammer was lining up on; it
looked like one with out a type pallet. (top row, 4th or 5th from left.).
I just now looked up the layout of the typebox and 4th from the left, top
row is the "SPACE" character. So I think the machine is somehow stuck in
the SPACE function (no typing, but typebox spaces across page).
I won't have access to the machine until next Tuesday, so I can't check for
the springs till then.
Thanks,
Duncan

Functions work, including space, but the type box does not move in relation
to the type hammer (except for FIGS - LTRS).

had any problems with M28, so haven't had to get into them. Any hints to
what might have changed to prevent all printing? The horizontal selector
levers under the type box are moving as they should, but no relative
movement between the type box & hammer.
