After I finished Basic Training, Uncle Sam sent me to teletypewriter
repair school at Camp Gordon, Georgia. Then he was soon ready to send
me to Frankfurt, Germany. Before sailing for Germany, I came home on
a 3 day pass, and married my High School Sweet Heart. Then I was on my
way to Germany on the USNS Butner. Soon I was working in the I. G.
Farben Building in the basement communications center. My Bride flew
over to join me after about six weeks, and we rented 2 rooms from a
German Family. We soon had a 52 Ford there, and we traveled all over
Europe, when I wasn't on duty. Many people say we had a 16 month
Honeymoon In Europe, but we came home in 1957, and then we went to
work. The Army was good to me , and I have always wanted an old
Teleypewriter like I use to work on in the Army. It appears that you
may have one. Please send me info on what units you have for sale.
My mailing address is: Charles B. Adams, Jr. I hope
to hear from you.
