Took the time to call JIM, the owner of the model 28 in Tacoma, WA. 
Phone is 253-759-5638.

The machine is very early production, serial number is 5252.

It's been sitting on his patio for five years, and still looks to be 
in good shape.

When you turn the machine on it does run open, so it is not frozen 
up, and there does not appear to be any rust on it.

I am in the process of thinning out, so cannot go and save it for 
myself.

I am willing to make a run to Tacoma to pick it up if someone on the 
list needs a hand. I can also crate it and get it sent off, you buy 
the materials and pay for the shipping and gas to make the trip to 
transport it to a freighting firm.

He lives close to The Narrows bridge, so it would be very easy to 
find.
