There is a furniture store in Indianapolis, IN that had those things
too- I can't remember the name of the store. It was in a mall.
Something like Williams-Sonoma or something like that. Apparently
the Chinese know that we Americans have a fancy for shiny large
aluminum mechanical objects. (I'm surmising that these things are
being manufactured in China for about $50 and then sold to us
"stupid" Americans who have plenty of money to spend on such
folly...)

On the other hand, I'd be willing to pay about $150 for one of these
$1300 devices.

I just confirmed that is the name of the store- but their on-line catalog
does not show that light. They had them in the store, honest!!!
