     There's a tool for that, called a "contact burnisher".  See

Costs about $2.50 from Fry's.  I used one when my Model 15
was dropping one bit at the keyboard contacts.

     An emery board or sandpaper is too abrasive, and can
wear contacts.  Also, emery dust is conductive.

     Brass (not steel) wire brushes are useful for commutators,
sliding contacts, and such.
