[GreenKeys] I (don't) hear bells...

Joe,

The bell is electrically activated on a M28 when the stunt box contact
is made for closing the circuit to the bell.
On most machines that have a simple stunt box the contacts are above
slot number 28. When your machine receives FIGS S you should see the
contact operate and the bell DING if it was a military or Bell
machine. If it was a Western Union machine the bell DING is FIGS J.

The bell on a M15 works a bit differently but should be Dinging on one
of these two codes.

Hi one more time this morning!

I was wondering (again) how to get the bells working in my ASR 28 and
my Model-15. They both have bells, but I can get neither to go 'ding'
even when sending "FIGS BELL".

Just curious, as I am considered a bit echm, 'dingy' by some. OK,
sorry for the pun, but seriously, I would like to be able to hear the
melodious tinkling of TTY bells as they are hammering away...

Joe
