[GreenKeys] OT: Microsoft to support Windows XP for an additional year...

It is seriously doubtful Microsoft will ever do anything right. Their 
entire business model is based upon forcing the user to keep coming back 
to them, and they   hold much of the world captive. Are there any 
software writers out there who can write amateur radio and teletype 
applications for Linux,  or better yet REAL (G3, G4, G5 PowerPc) 
Macintosh equipment?  Linux and Mac OS  operating systems are designed 
to work right the first time,  and are upgradeable without cost or 
invasive registration  for the mistakes that any human endeavor will 
surely make.  I am painfully aware Microsoft has a grip on the world, 
but it is slipping a bit, and justly so.  Windows XP reminds me of a 
very vicious and nasty tiny dog, yapping at you constantly,  digging 
it's teeth into your ankles, and giving you rabies.  Can such an entity 
ever be redeemed?
