I had a problem with my 28-RO typing unit and found that the mechanism
that causes it to shift between LTRS and FIGS was broken. Mine would
switch cases similarly to what yours is doing.
o Try typing on the 28-ASR keyboard. Does that make any difference?
o Press down the REPT key and another key (say an R). Do a few lines.
Does that work OK or does it shift? If it shifts, do you get 4's?
o Try typing alternate LTRS and FIGS. Does the typebox shift correctly
each time - or does it sometimes not?
