Just my two cents worth...
 
I highly value my TTY units, and with the help of Jack K0TTY, have been able to keep them in pristine condition. There is no way that I would EVER loan them out, either for free or for rent to any Hollyweird outfit, I do not care how big the movie is. They can do without for all I care, I will keep my machines in my possession. I feel that these units are part of our technilogical heritage that is quickly disappearing, and that it is incumbant upon all of us TTY enthusiasts and collectors to do everything possible to keep them in operating condition in order that future generations might be able to study (and hopefully learn from) this old technology that might make a huge comeback if a solar storm or God forbid nuclear detonation wipe out all of our highly vulnerable solid state technology.
