I believe that the TT-176 is a Tempest Unit, with cheesy model 32
style keyboard, optical distributor in the left rear corner, and
half-amp selector magnet coils and the mu-metal shield over the
magnets.
All wiring is in shielded/armored cable, and has three pin military
connectors. I think the Electrical Service Unit is referred to as a
"bustle".
I believe the seller, "ipullgees" is possibly a former greenkeyer
who is either a fighter pilot or test pilot. This is good, as I
recall the man having some good taste in gear.
Dealing with Tempest stuff is a different world. Those with ST-8000A
TUs are fortunate in that one of the output sigs from the ST-8000A
is Mil-188, which is what the tempest world is all about. It's kinda
like RS-232, except that the signal excursions are limited to plus
and minus 6 volts, and is inverted, I.E. Mark = Plus 6 volts, and
Space = Minus 6 Volts. Works just fine with NPN keying transistors.
