Hello.
This is my first post, welcome from Landenberg, PA USA

I have been working on a project to attach an ASR 33 teletype to my
Digital Equipment minicomputer model PDP 11/05. I am looking for
someone who is familiar with this. In addition to the two pairs of
transmit and receive lines, I'd like to know if my teletype has the
ability to be wired for papertape control. DId the PDP 11 need
this? My ASR 33 has been modified possibly with the purpose of
controlling the papertape reader. Most teletypes that I have seen
that have manual reader operations require one to hold the START
lever in place, but this one allows a person to leave the switch in
the START position. The little cam that holds the lever in position
is different, it has two notches rather than just one. I have been
comparing and contrasting two asr 33's, one standard, one with paper
tape reader modifications.

I have a documented details about what I have been doing here

Bottom line, I think I can probably just attach the two pairs of
wires from the PDP 11 to the terminal strip 3,4,6,7 and be on my way,
but the modification confuses me, I'd like to learn more about it and
any opportunities it may present to my situation.
