Of course, the other source of help is the RSGB Teleprinter Manual by 
Gee, Yeomanson & Hobbs. The pages in there are more helpful in terms of 
getting going for amateur use. I collated the Datacom articles into a 
file on my web site.

Many years ago I recall that BARTG commissioned sets of 45.45 Baud gears 
for the 444.  I imagine these are long gone unless the machine you get 
is already fitted. All ex-Telex or cold-war bunker models will be 50 Baud.
