I found a page from the November 1974 RTTY Journal that says "Cheap and Dirty" conversion for Military 28 machines.
 
This is a gearing chart showing speeds from 60Wpm thru 107 wpm and what gears are used to operate at those speeds.  What i didn't rmember was a 71 wpm speed.  Everything else, 60, 65, 66, 67, 75 , 100 and 107 wpm i had heard of before.  The 71 wpm is a 7.0 code 428 OPM at 50.0 baud rate.
