Got this great 28KSR that is all in one piece with a lot of work done to it
in the past with respect to parts replacement, etc. I am trying to get it
operational on air and have a question for the group.
At the bottom of the cabinet the previous owner has two jacks, one for the
keyboard, one for the selector magnets. I applied power from my ST5000 to
the magnets and stopped the machine from running open. This of course did
nothing for the keyboard.... I have forgotten more than I can remember
right now..... but do I have to jumper between the keyboard and the magnets
for the machine to function like a typewriter? On my old machines 35 years
ago, if I remember correctly, there was a quarter inch plug that exited the
machine which went to the ST5000 loop supply and was functional for both
the keyboard and the magnets. What have I forgotten?
Thanks.
Francis
