Hi,

Several years ago, I found a Teletype loop current powersupply at a junque store and nabbed it for 10 bucks. Below are photos.

I have a few questions about this unit. First, do I need a current limiting resistor or not? I will be using it with a patch panel that has a reostat and miliammeter, so would the fixed R be necessary?

Second, does this use a selenium rectifier that will explode the first time I power it up?

Third, Where do I find a correct plug and socket for this unit? I would like to be able to plug it in.

Last, will this work with this? : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Power-Service-Unit-Teletype-power-center-WW-ll-129330-BB-nos-/270833705638?pt=BI_Electrical_Equipment_Tools&hash=item3f0ef262a6

Thanks a bunch!

Oh, almost forgot... She insisted that I put her photograph in this post. Her name is Kotobuki... the owner and CEO of the Roosterville phone company.

Everyone on the TCI and ATCA site as well as the Sundance site know of her... she graces all of my phone pictures. TTYs scare her a bit with  their noise, however.

Best,

Joe
