I can't actually speak to Model 32 and later (although I'm pretty sure that
they did) but all Teletype machines up through at least Model 31 and all
Kleinschmidt machines through that time used a 7 bit code. Start bit and five
data bits were one unit long, with the time width of the unit varying with
rated speed (except for 60/65/66). The stop bit was more commonly 1.5 units
long but sometimes 1.0 units.
