Thanks Duncan for the memory refresh. I got a job at a
little shop called Prototype Electronics Engineering Co.
back in 1972 specifically to run "test tapes" with a pair
of TT-76 machines as they were testing the TT-523A
adapters they were making at the time.

Interesting shop. They would get a full set of drawings
from the government, make 4-5 items "per print" and
run them through first article testing. Once the prints
were proven, someone else would get the production
contract.
