Forgot to mention my hasty test was on an XP machine.

I'll have to confirm this on the Win7 radio computer but I don't think
you need the loopback. MMTTY will ask for the input to a sound card even
in Win7. It's a bit confusing for me because I use Virtual Audio Cables
on that setup with MMTTY and a Flex radio.

Good suggestions but a fresh install with defaults should get you going.
Make sure if you flush the old install to use something like Revo uninstaller
to get everything.

Christian I agree that fldigi is a great piece of software but most of the 
list members only need RTTY decode capability and MMTTY is actually
easier to setup for a noob.  Probably had a bunch of eyes glaze over
at the mention of DominoEX :)......I run a lot of JT65 for reference.
