[GreenKeys] Whooppiieee 28 ASR

I have just acquired a 28 ASR. Wanted one since 1971 when I visited a

Ham who had wall to wall RTTY.

My radio room is 6 feet off the floor of the barn. So the first thing I
had to do

was remove everything inside the cover to reduce the weight so I, with
help, could

lift the machine into the Radio Room. I know I will hit snags when I
re-assemble the

machine. I don't think I have broken anything - -yet.

I will have to do very little cleaning - it was well taken care of. It
does not need to

be dunked into the gunk tank.

Now I need to learn a lot of stuff. Can someone put me in touch with a
cd of the manual?

My brother is retired Navy - communications - and was sent to Navy '28'
school - so I am

going to defer to him all questions on oil. We won't open that bag again.

It will take me a few days to clean and re- assemble the machine. Then I'll
need the cd

of the manual to trace wiring to see how closely it follows 'factory'
wiring.

It is a Bell Telephone machine and I believe the date I found is the
manufacturing date of

1964

I have previously acquired a HAL 6000 and I think that will feed the signal
to & from

my transceiver.

Any and all help will be appreciated.
