Gentlemen and Ladies,
I am Donald Hague a volunteer researcher at the Military Aviation Museum in
Virginia Beach Virginia. The museum has recently moved a WWII Watch Tower
(AKA Control Tower) from Goxhill Airfield in England and will soon be
reconstructing it at the museum.
The museum team is dedicated to authenticity and detail. One of its
objectives is to equip the tower with communications equipment.
So we are looking to identify that equipment necessary to communicate with
planes as well as with other ground units. We are looking for any and all
information related to the communications equipment installed at these watch
towers down to headsets and microphones.
I believe their communications equipment must have included some form of TTY
as this was a very prevalent means of time.
