Hi Keelan,

Ah really? I did not expect to find that many people with Linotype AND Teletype :-)

Hm, I do not think that they are really that different. I could imagine that the
most obvious difference is the naming/numbering. At least for the European
machines it seems that some central parts are the same over all models. So I
assume that the American ones are very closely related. In the paperwork I have
I also found references to other model numbers found in Europe but not in
Germany. It probably would be easier to distingish the machines by description
of features than by numbers.
One big difference between European and American stuff is the type height. We
have 23.56mm type height here.

Oh, that white powder.... I *hate* dust on my hands. I can't stand it at all. I
have no problems with oil, grease, any kind of mud. But dusty hands is a horror
to me. So I will have some work getting the machine dustfree and greasy again.
I have only the four magazines on the machine and two other ones with unknown
contents. On the machine it's Helvetica 8pt, 10pt, 12pt, and 10pt italics if I
remember correctly. The extra mats are missing.

A Lorenz Lo15? In the USA? Or where are you?
I have several Lo15, Lo133, Siemens T100, T68 and all that stuff. Some Teletype
32KSR, an ASR, a few ASR33. The Linotype is my first one.

Kind regards

Philipp
