Sometimes my memory is very slow but never actually
forgets anything. The place I couldn't remember was
J.J.Glass, also in downtown L.A. I think I bought my bug
from them rather than Bond Street or maybe it was the same
place. Its interesting to look at the advertising in QST
and especially CQ for late 1940s through the 1950s to see
how many people were in the surplus business. Some of the
larger manufacturers, Hallicrafters for instance, were
agencies for the government in selling off surplus gear.
Then came Korea and ads asking to buy some of it back.
