Seth,

You have a manual TR which is normal with the added TR control card. The TR will not work in line mode without 12 or 15 VDC supplied by the computer. Its so the computer can pause the tape when its buffer is full or whatever. The TR will work in Local mode.

When you are ready, we can easily bypass that computer control with one easy wire change or leave it if you have a PDP computer that would like to see that option in the 33.

The card I am sending you has been tested and is good. I will also send the card mounting plastic pieces and the green resistor. You will have to fabricate something to hold the PS unless someone on the list has an empty TR PS chassis.

Wayne

Didnt I put you on the free parts list? This will use up your $50. LOL.
I was just forward thinking, I guess :)

You can tell by the TR control handle. When you push it toward START, does it
pring back or stay forward? Auto springs back, manual stays forward. Also
ook at the Molex that leads to the pedestal. Is it full of pins or only have 7
r so? Full of pins is an Auto TR supply.
It looks like I have a manual. When I push it toward "START" it stays there, it
oesn't spring back, and the Molex connector is mostly empty.
Many thanks, Wayne -- I really appreciate it!
