Well, I liked someone on the list advice. I just tie a knot where the grommet goes. It works perfectly.

WAL MART sells eyelets and eyelet tools in their sewing department that work
icely to add reversing eyelets to ribbons that do not have them.
Also some of the plastic spools have smaller holes and do not fit over the
lotted peg on the 32, 33, and 38 machines.
And of course KL machines need the SCM style ribbon spools. The Underwood style
oes not work on those.

On 33's the metal spools are best. They always work. Some plastic ones dont
o all the way on the holder and they can jump off on CR.

I suspect the heavy ink load as the new ribbons at the radio stations used put
own a heavy type face to start, but they were usable for a long time.

I recommend you don't ask for GREEN!

When I was in High School, I used green ink pens.

 I thought they were great!

By the time I finished the 12th spool of green TTY ink,
 I was ready to throw-up...

 Blue - OK
 Navy Blue - GOOD
Purple - REAL GOOD (pretty much the standard)
 Black - EXCELLENT
 Green - NO
Red - EVEN WORSE THAN GREEN

 Ugh!

 Sick-serely,
