[GreenKeys] Morse Day at Wabash Depot in Ferguson, MO on 04/25

Hi Everyone,

The Morse Telegraph Club will be celebrating "Morse Day" at the Wabash Depot in Ferguson, MO on Saturday, 04/25 and we invite you to join us!  This is an event where we demonstrate landline Morse on a sounder.  We have been operating the Morse equipment there virtually every Saturday for 14 years.

Ferguson has been in the news a lot over the past year but I can say, from personal experience, it is very safe to visit the depot.  Here are some photos I took this past weekend when we were demonstrating landline Morse:

The Morse Telegraph Club (Alton Chapter) will be celebrating Samuel Morse’s Birthday "Morse Day" on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Wabash Railroad Depot in Ferguson, MO!

Activities Include: 

 Antique Telegraph Equipment Display including Sounders, Relays, Hand Keys, Bugs, etc. 

 Morse Demonstration over the Internet with Morse operators around the world 

 Lunch (on your own) at the Whistle Stop restaurant inside the depot 

 Samuel F.B. Morse Birthday cake! 

Whether you know Morse or not, you are welcome to join us! We’ll share lots of stories about the old days and renew old friendships! 

We encourage you to bring any historic artifacts you may have related to the railroad or telegraphy and we’ll have a wonderful time!
