What is hanging below the keyboard ?
Nick> The only thing that stays in place is its glue backing
That is unless the thing is stored in a shed where it can get over 110 deg
F during the summer.
The first 2 photos show the 'fun' from the acoustic foam. At first just
looked like
the foam but what is on the first picture is the glue backing ! It has the
consistency of the adhesive that was used on old medical tape. blah ...
At the end of the previous album are pictures of a couple 9140 boards.
Found a 9140 manual. Although for the Model 40, I hope it will have a few
of the boards I have
http://www.virhistory.com/navy/manuals/tty/jh/ttyman1/TeletypeManuals/model40/395m.pdf
I'll photo all the boards.
The number "8" is not only a missing keycap but one can see all the way
down to the bars. The level of dirt is even higher so the keycap etc must
have been pulled ? long ago.
Two caps are cracked and swollen
