Use a business card cut into strips with Caig De-Oxit on it. Hold the strip in the end of the needle nose pliers and push the contacts gently closed.
The burnishing tool is a bit like a nail file but not abrasive - it’s surface is nubbled but it will not remove metal. It’s about a quarter inch wide and three inches long.
