[GreenKeys] I-Telex...

Hello all

I think most of you know it already, but there is a PC-based system, already running in the danish Datahistorical Society (www.datamuseum.dk)
This system is PC based, with all speed conversion, characterset conversion etc. done through software.
It is therefore possible to have 5-bit and 8-bit machines, even with different speed, within the same system.
The functions exactly the same as the old european Gentex system,
It was originally designed as an in-house system, so we could demonstrate how the Telex network worked in the old days.
Later-on, I implemented an SMS version, so you could from a teleprinter write a SMS, and vice versa.
I have not tried to send a message from a teleprinter to a teleprinter via SMS, but that should be possble or (worst case) implementable
Source and documentation are available free of charge.
The interface print is also available, and/or very simple to build. Most parts come from Mouser.
I built the cards into SCSI 5.25" boxes. There was even room for the high-voltage transformer.
The PC in the museum is presently configured for 8 teleprinters, but the number is only limited by the number of ports/slots available.
I have no speed problems with 4 printers on a '486 clone.
The software is written in Delphi6.

Regards
Nico
