Prototype Electronic Engineering Company. In El Segundo, CA. Right
down the street from International Rectifier.
I had to baby sit two of them.
Specifically, I had to run a "Quick brown fox" tape through the TT-523A
10 ten times with no errors so everyone was happy.
What we did was we would build five items for first article testing. Do
all the testing, environmental, etc., and after it was bought off, the
government would award the contract to someone else to go into full
production of the unit.
Great fun in 1972 for my first "real" job out of high school. After a year
with them, I got hired by TRW Systems Group in Redondo Beach.
