I like my CV-89 but I'm a Navy radio nut and have several other TU's for
normal use. The major problem with the CV-89 is that it is 1000 hz center
freq and will NOT work on standard RTTY shift frequencies. So you can't use
it for ITTY Internet TTY for example. For radio work you can maybe mis-tune
your receiver to make it work but with a transceiver you will have a hard
time.
Definitely go with one of the TU's made for ham use.
