[GreenKeys] Inktronic in my garage - it is Don House's fault!

The Back Story -
Well, you know the Inktronic that turned up on eBay a month ago? I was
safely ignoring it until Don House sent me one of the photos that said "US
Navy AN/URG-14". Oh Oh....I'm a sucker for Navy Teletype gear.
I tried to resist and then someone bid on it - whew! But they backed out
and it turned up on eBay again - and again I resisted. This time no bids so
I broke down and made an offer after the auction ended. Accepted. I sent
PayPal and made arrangements to pick it up - and only THEN did I go looking
for the manual - what a dummy.
The Bad News -
Perusing the manuals (Jim Haynes' scans) I realized that the eBay photos
showed no Character Generator or Printer Driver modules in the center
module bays. Oh well, it'll definitely just be a heavyweight museum display
piece. And I combined the trip to pick it up with attending the Berryville
hamfest which was fun and interesting.
The Good News -
Looking at in person I found that not only was it a Navy UGR-14, it had a
"Property of US Naval Communication Station" sticker on it, which really
warmed my heart being as how I am infatuated with NAVCOMMSTA equipment and
operations.
Loading up at the surplus warehouse I realized that there weren't any
cables/connectors hanging down for those missing modules - and there were
circuit boards in the upper bay that don't show up in the photos in the
manuals.
So -----
This is evidently a later model (1970 contract) than shown in the Inktronic
manuals for the Model 2101AA Inktronic
Mine is 2101AB-013-AA-002--MP serial no 1186
It actually appears complete and undamaged except for a missing front door.
And IF (Big IF) I can find manuals for this later version, I might have a
shot at resurrecting it some day.
Any info about later models, copies of manuals, helpful hints, war stories,
etc. would be greatly hugely wonderfully appreciated. Sometimes I'm willing
to power up gear that I think I understand but don't have a manual for, but
this gadget has a 10,000 volt power supply and is designed to spray ink all
over the place - I think I'll leave the power off until I learn a bit
more....
Thanks to all of you who have encouraged and/or entrapped me in this
fascinating hobby. Great fun!
