GN OMS;
I picked-up an old ST-6.
The power supply board has a 120mfd @ 450v capacitor.
It is about 1 1/4" in diameter and about 3" long.
One of the spot-welded leads broke off.
I searched around on the internet and found a replacement on Mouser.
BUT here's the the thing: it's WAY SMALLER in size: 18mm x 31.5mm
as opposed to the bad one which is roughly 24mm x 75mm.
Has capacitor technology advanced that much - that the new one is
a replacement for the old one - or am I missing some parameter?
OH - and if someone has a 120mfd @ 450v capacitor they are
willing to part with, please let me know.
