Inspiration, I’ll say!  What an astounding transformation - from totally rusted to shiny and WORKING!

I have an old, really old, really rusty, typewriter in the same shape as your Rusty in the Before state.  I’m not sure I’ll tackle it, but for other mechanisms that might well be more worth the effort, I’ll take your example as prime inspiration.
