Back in the '80's I went to C-C - because of their slogan
"Where service is state of the art".

I went to the small electronics counter. The salesman asked
if he could help me. I said: "Yes - I'd like a CD Player
to put on my night stand, that will play a CD and when the CD is
finished, will shut itself off.

I rephrased the question, same expression.

I asked him to call over another sales rep. He did. Now I had
2 "deer in the headlights".

I wound-up getting on my knees, peering in the display windows
until I found what I wanted, showed it to them and explained
what it does. They still did not understand.

I bought it and left, thinking: "yeah, I guess, with the way
things are going, that THAT is "state of the art service"...
