Ken,
This is a good fix. Just be careful when you put the long tension rod back that you dont knock to paper handling bracket loose. The place to watch is as you push the rod thru the two holes that the little roller fits between.

Subject: [GreenKeys] M32/33 Paper slippage...
Hi all!
Another problem area with paper feed issues, slippage
etc. and very often overlooked, is the paper release/tension
rod where it passes thru the platen roller & outer paper
tray guide holes...
Quite often, especially with units which have been stored
for long periods of time, a tiny rust build-up occurs
inside the platen roller particularly near the ends
of the roller...
Note, you can't fix this issue by just cleaning the ends of
the roller and applying a tiny amount of oil...
The proper procedure involves removing the paper tensioner
bracket from the platen frame, pulling out the rod completion
and removing the pressure roller...
A thick pipe cleaner, like those used in crafts, can be used
to clean the inside of the roller...
Isopropyl alcohol, or lock de-icer, is my favorite, as it cleans
well, evaporates quickly, and leaves no residue...
Upon reassembling, a 'Tiny' amount of oil can be applied at
each end of the pressure roller where the shaft passes thru...
Beware of too much oil, as it will track up the paper copy
and you will curse yourself!
I have used this fix in countless service calls to remedy
'False' LF problems...
Cheers!
