Hi John;
I finally got around to R/R the big cap on the Power Supply.
I fired it up, with the boards out, and checked the edge
connectors for juice. The 3 boards on the right have the
components facing right, the 6 boards on the left have the
components facing left. I marked the rails 1-9, put arrows
on them so the next guy knows which way the boards go, and
I used nail polish to put "dots" 1 to 9 on the top edge of the
board so he knows which one goes where.
The ST-6 a little squirrelly: the contacts need to be cleaned,
the rheostat wiped down, and the boards tuned up. The 425Hz
board works well. The 850Hz doesn't trip the autostart unless
it has a solid space tone, and the 170Hz doesn't move the meter
by much.
As soon as I clear a space on the desk, I'll put the ST-6 there,
and get out the oscilloscope and tune it up.
I don't have a tone generator so I'll have to improvise something.
Maybe there is a "tone generator app" for my Android of iPhone.

Oh, great: This new "Day Planner" I bought has
nothing but blank pages. Now I have no idea
what I'm supposed to be doing tomorrow.
