They appear to be 8-32 thread. I just went to Homedepot and found reasonable replacements for all but one.

I'm in need of the single fastener that holds the case to the tape reader.

Guess I'll have to dig further, last night I didn't find an exploded diagram with part numbers.

Jeff,

I like the dogs playing pool pic.

I've got my ASR33 working pretty well. MegaThanks to Wayne!! I swapped the stand of my KSR on to the ASR. The ASR was on a GE 'Mobile Teletype orig/ans' labeled stand. Probably a relationship between the definition of mobile and Moore's law ehh? Is anyone specifically looking for one of these GE desks /stand? and/or know a little history of the GE desk?

I made a current loop to RS-232 converter from plans of Mike Douglas (deramp) I've tested it working.

Note the array of lubricants and fluids recently used. The labels came off pretty well. A little to well on the cover where the dialer would go where I used 'goof off'. Perhaps it's revealing the true color - it didn't bubble up. Here is a before picture where you can see the labels that have been removed. http://retrowagon.org/wiki/index.php/File:Teletype_Model_33_Repair.png
I think the Formula 409, in my case Simple Green, and Alcohol were the two best chemicals in my cleaning. The 409 got most of the paper and some gum offf, while the Alcohol was helpful in the last mile. Lot of elbow grease too. The keys still have a kind of white chalky feeling substance on them. Thanks to all for the suggestions of removal procedures.

A shame the front edge of the case is broken above the power switch. But all in all not to bad. I do have a copy holder and a chad box.

Went to Homedepot for some PVC to make a spindle for the punch paper tape holder.

I need to find all the screws that hold the case to the base. And a couple springs for the paper cover.
