[GreenKeys] Fwd: M15 TTY equipment in Madison WI

Good News Everyone.. ;-)

I just spoke with Rick (sorry, Rich?) at the posted number, and here's the
situation on the gear: He is close friends with a couple, who is in the
process of purchasing a home - and the gear is presently inside of the
home. The gear has sat cold since at least 1979, and was the property of an
old radio / TTY guy. He did not mention any names.

So R. is trying to advise the new owners as to how to deal with the
equipment (he is an EE, minted some time in the late 1990s). It seems that
he has a reasonable view of market value, in that there's no practical way
for him to properly test-out any of the equipment. He stated that he will
possibly advise the owners to put the HAM  RF gear up on Craigslist, as
it's not worth the time to eBay it and deal with shipping.

Ditto on the TTY gear, except that he seems very much amenable to seeing it
go to the enthusiast base, particularly if our member David is willing to
pick it up and make it "go away". I briefly discussed prices, and he seems
to be very reasonable, again, about the practicality of seeing it to a new
home.
