[GreenKeys] USBTTY experiences with Windows XP – part 2

Installed HeavyMetal 2.6, but it made no difference as to the error messages.  Had always set the unshift on space in HeavyMetal, so Heavy Metal was doing it correctly.

 Edited theheavymetal.cfg file and removed the offending items.  It made no difference as Heavymetal stillcomplained multiple times when it was started. And when I saved the config, it reinserted the deleted configurationlines.

 So, just completelydeleted the .cfg file and started Heavy Metal. Error message was that COM1 was invalid, but no other complaints.  Changed the com port to the correct COM3, andthen received the multiple complaints about the word size, stop bits, and baudrate.   Did a SAVE and the .cfg file wasrecreated in its entirety.  

 Only slightlyannoying to answer all of the questions. 

 The only questionthat I have at this time is how to ring the bell from Heavy Metal, i.e. how doI do an uppercase and then “S’.
