Dick the 2b uses smaller than 3/8 by a bit... John Nagle has some
he ordered a bunch from china... none of these stuff is gummed must
gummed stuff is stuck together.
http://www.aetherltd.com/supplies.html see this page....

if you find a source for gummed stock let me know.... if you want to
see if you can talk a manufacturer into making gummed stock also me know.

I toyed with the idea of taking a roll of John's tape and try to figure
how to gum one side of it........

we want to demo this stuff like they used to use it!

we have one of the glass wetting thingisis but only one happy to
photo it in detail if you want to build one ... pretty funny got it with a
bunch of W U stuff and did not know what it was until I asked the old
time folks here!

glad you got the ttys be sure you oil them up well before use!

I realize the parts and accessories listed below may be hard to find but
the recent thread about the Model 11 rare birds prompts me write with our
needs.

As some may know, we recently received a donation of a long desired
Western Union (Teletype) 2B strip printer from a generous member of this list.
The intent is that it will be exhibited as a stand in for the 2B that we see
in the 1946 photo of the KPH operating room.

Please see the attached photos.

The machine appears to be in excellent, original shape. But we are
looking for the following items:

Tape reel cover

3/8" paper tape (gummed preferred but non-gummed would be great too)

Moistener/cutter. I'm not sure what the real name for this tool is but it
was used by the operators to moisten the tape for sticking to the radiogram
blank and cutting the tape to the proper length.

All leads to any of these admittedly scarce items will be gratefully
received.

Regards,

RD
