Nothing at all is wrong with the 1403, it's a nice printer.

What is wrong: Who attaches a 1403-N1 to 7000 series equipment? I
mean, it's over kill when a regular 1403-3 would work just fine and be
cheaper... and louder. Much louder (but with less coffee flinging
action, which is unfortunate).

The random VT-240s though... that's just weird in an otherwise IBM shop.
