[GreenKeys] Mice vs 15

You have evoked VERY powerful memories. The movie and especially it's
theme song were quite popular. I was deeply affected when the Chinese
mechanic was killed, and later when the one who was trained as his
replacement was flayed in the "Death By 1000 Cuts", and shot to end his
suffering by the Navy mechanic who had trained him. I have seen and
projected "The Sand Pebbles" many times, it evoked many feelings for
those of us serving in southeast Asia. AND- the person I first saw it
with was a squadron Teletype tech. After the movie he insisted I have a
couple beers with him. Can anyone name the 1951 film noire feature (it
actually was released under two different titles) about a washed up
reporter exploiting a tragedy? It prominently featured a model 15 in
several scenes.
