Thanks, Nick.

I was surprised that I hadn't seen that site, but it is only a couple
months old! It is the most comprehensive site I have seen on the MITE.

The US Army did use them some of them. We were trained on them in the
Army Security Agency add-on TTY Repairman school at Ft. Gordon in 1966.
We were told then that the company was out of business and it was
getting hard to get replacement parts.

We have a couple at the AWA museum and they are so compact that it is
very hard to work on them. They do have some electronics in them. The
selector magnet operates on 24 VDC at 600ma as I remember. There is an
option for a low level input (1-10ma?) and I have operated one directly
off the serial port of a computer.

Have fun,

Duncan
