Subject: Re: [GreenKeys] Teletype manual...

What you find in those brown-covered manuals, which are typically made for
military customers, are copies of the applicable Teletype bulletins
(manuals) plus errata sheets plus wiring diagrams.

Hence there is no need to copy the whole thing, because the bulletins have
already been scanned and are available widely. The wiring diagrams and
errata sheets probably have been scanned too. You just have to put them
together to get the complete manual.

So please look in the front of the manual for a list of its contents
and see what that says. For instance, there should be 138B (or B-138 in
the older numbering system) which is all the adjustments for Model 15.
144B is the description of Model 15. 1037B is the parts catalog for
Model 15. 1110B is a parts book specific to military Model 15 printers.
You may find some S specifications applying to odd bits and pieces.
166B is description and adjustments for the perforator-transmitter of
Model 19. 1090B is the parts book for same.

There should be a page in the front titled Teletype Instruction Manual
No. 29 (or 45 or something) that lists all the material contained in the
manual. Most all of the B bulletins have already been scanned and are
on the Navy-Radio site. The WD wiring diagrams have also probably been
scanned.

The reason wiring diagrams are not included in the basic manuals is that
there are so many variations, so it was normal to ship wiring diagrams
with the equipment.
